Project Discription:
Santa Anita Park is a neighborhood park within the Fulton-El Camino Recreation and Park District, providing residents with walking paths, open space, and access to the natural surroundings of Chicken Ranch Slough. The park's pedestrian bridges serve as important connections throughout the park, allowing visitors to enjoy its trails and recreational amenities.
As part of the District's ongoing efforts to maintain and improve park infrastructure, the Santa Anita Park Bridge Replacement Project addressed an aging pedestrian bridge that required replacement. The project was undertaken to improve safety, accessibility, and the long-term reliability of the park's pathway system.
Funded through Measure Q, the Parks & Recreation Improvement Bond approved by District voters in November 2024, this improvement helps ensure Santa Anita Park remains a safe and welcoming space for residents and visitors.
