Holiday Office Hours 2026 
 

Please be advised that FECRPD will have limited office hours between December 22nd and Janurary 2nd. The District office will be closed December 25th and Janurary 1st. The Conzelmann Community Center bathrooms will be CLOSED for maintenance during this period. For immediate park attention issues please call 916-696-4498.

Howe Park Bridges Temporarily Closing for Upgrades and ADA Compliance Improvements

Please be advised that the Howe Park middle and west bridges will experience periodic closures to facilitate cleaning, drying, and the application of a protective sealer. As part of this process, plastic sheeting will be installed beneath the bridges to ensure that no wood preservatives enter the waterway.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during these intermittent closures. We are pleased to announce that this essential maintenance will help preserve the bridges for years to come.

FECRPD Forms Citizens’ Oversight Committee for Measure Q Spending

Voter-approved bond provides $24 million for District improvements and repairs

Sacramento, Calif. – The Board of Directors for the Fulton-El Camino Recreation and Park District (FECRPD) has selected eight community members to serve on a new Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee to review spending from Measure Q, the $24 million bond approved by District voters in November 2024.

“We are thankful to our community members for volunteering to serve in this important role,” said Board Chair Teresa Mironchik Higgins. “Measure Q represents a historic investment from our community to improve our parks and facilities. We are committed to maximizing these funds through transparent and accountable spending, with the active involvement of the oversight committee.”

Community members were invited to apply for the committee through an open call for applications. Seven members and one alternate were selected and approved by the Board during its April 17 meeting. Members will represent various community perspectives.
