Project Discription:

The Cottage Park West Bridge provides an important pedestrian connection between Morse Avenue, Cottage Park, the Cottage Community Center, and Cottage Pool.

The bridge was previously identified for replacement as part of the District's planned capital improvement projects. However, in April 2026, a fallen tree caused significant damage to the structure, requiring its immediate closure for public safety.

As a result of the damage, the District accelerated the bridge replacement project to restore this important pedestrian connection sooner than originally scheduled.

The project will replace the damaged bridge with a new structure designed to provide safe and reliable access for park visitors while maintaining connectivity throughout Cottage Park.
